These Rake Type Cooling Beds transfer the material by one pitch for every rake movement to impart straightened material. It helps improve the metallurgical properties as the bars are cooled uniformly. Generally Cooling Beds naturally cool the material, for special applications, these are provided with slow cooling by insulated covers and forced cooling by water spray. Depending upon the speed, Cooling bed entry can be completed with lifting aprons and natural braking or twin channel/ four channel and mechanical braking.
