Housingless Mill Stands
Key feature of these state-of-the-art mill stands are high-rigidity, reliability and quick roll change. These are designed for producing Bars, Wire Rods, Flats, Angles, Channels, Beams etc. Different versions include horizontal, vertical and convertible which convert a horizontal stand to vertical position in operations. Rapid adaptation to the variety of the rolled products is achieved as these are needed to fulfill specific market demands. The stands can be interchanged very quickly as the connection and disconnections of all fluid utilities are fully automatic. Equipment range is as follows:

Pre-stressed Mill Stands
The Pre-stressed universal stands are divided into two parts, i.e., an upper cross beam carrying a top horizontal roll and a lower cross beam carrying a bottom horizontal roll, and these two parts are clamped together by means of tension bars. Whereby, after the clamping force on the housing has been released, the tension bars are rotated to simultaneously move the upper and lower cross beams with the same distance in different directions, thereby making it possible to readily adjust the position of the top and bottom horizontal rolls and making the construction of the roll stand itself compact and rigid.
Rolling mills of this type must meet certain requirements such as simple and lightweight construction, low cost, reduced roll changing time and high mill rigidity. A variety of rolling mills of this type have been proposed.
Conventional Mill Stands
The conventional stands are traditional stands in the Rolling Mill. These stands are suitable to roll with Spherical Roller bearings at Roughing, beginning & intermediate line. The design of mill stand is such that it promotes ease of operation & maintenance with minimal breakdowns. The entire housing includes the chocks, which are Steel Casted to achieve better life.
Rest bar assembly is bolted on the housing at the Entry & Exit side of the material flow. The bolting arrangement of the Rest Bar provides ease in adjusting the guide boxes vertically. Screw down mechanism is used to adjust the position of top chocks vertically. The conventional stands are provided with a shifting arrangement to maintain the rolling line of the mill.
These stands can be classified into three categories i.e. 3-Hi Mill Stands, 2-Hi Mill Stands and 2-Hi Alternate Mill Stands.
